Make sure plastic bags and recyclable plastic films (LDPE #2 and #4) are clean and dry prior to recycling at a participating plastic bag drop-off site. We encourage you to reuse plastic bags and to switch to using reusable bags instead.
The following plastic film can be recycled (must be stretchy, not crinkly):
- Produce bags (not compostable)
- Bread bags (no paper, not crinkly)
- Dry cleaning bags
- Carry-out bags
- Case and Product overwrap (plastic wrap for toilet paper, etc)
- Stretch film
- Newspaper bags
- Ziplocs and "baggies" food storage bags
- Bubble wrap and all-plastic mailers
